Welcome to Sharpsburg Bible Church, a Christ focused organization

We are a small family oriented church located in historic Sharpsburg Maryland and close to the Antietam National Battlefield. The church was organized in 1872 and has been reaching people for Christ in Sharpsburg and the surrounding area for 152 years.

Our outreach does not just encompass our local area but also with missionaries around the world. As part of Christ's great Commission: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Matthew 28:15)"

Whether you're looking for a new place to hear from God, looking for a new church home, or you're in town visiting family and friends, you are our guest. We offer traditional preaching that is rooted in the Bible and relevant to your daily life. Our dress code is casual. Although our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in traditional “Sunday” dress. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Sharpsburg Bible Church.

We have three worship services a week: Sunday School, Sunday morning and Wednesday Bible study. We have something for all family members; to include: children's programs and lady's monthly meetings. We offer a clean, comfortable, and colorful nursery environment for infants to two-years old. Our nursery is always staffed at Sunday School and Morning Worship services with loving, professional, and certified childcare personnel.

Sunday School: Ages 2 to Teen at 9:30 AM

At Sharpsburg Bible Church, we desire for every child to grow up to become a "full-time Christian" -- a person who strives to live like Christ during every moment of life. Allow your children to be influenced by Godly role-models as we develop qualities of character within their young hearts.

Junior Church: Ages 3 to 12 – During Sunday morning worship at 10:30 AM

We love great music that honors and glorifies God.

You will enjoy the way that we worship our Lord through singing and special music at each service. Our songs include both traditional hymns and choruses that honor God in a worshipful way.
